Tickets & entry

A confirmed ticket reserves your spot for a specific TJC event. Tickets are personal and may not be resold. You must be able to present your ticket confirmation (digital or PDF) and, where requested, valid photo ID at entry. TJC and event venues reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee who behaves unsafely, disruptively, or in violation of venue rules.

Prices, HST & who sells the tickets

Tickets are sold by Toronto Jamming Culture Inc., Unit 2508, 361 Front St W, Toronto, ON M5V 3R5 (647-545-3305, contact@torontojammingculture.com). Prices are in Canadian dollars. On paid jams, 13% Ontario HST is added to the ticket price, and both are shown before you pay. There are no other fees. Your ticket and your confirmation email show the total price you paid.

Tickets are sold online only, on each jam’s page, first come, first served, with no pre-sales. Each jam’s page shows its maximum capacity.

Cancellations, refunds & changes

Stripe fees are not refunded. Paid tickets are processed by Stripe, which keeps its payment processing fee when a payment is refunded. So every refund is the amount you paid (ticket price plus HST) minus that fee. For example, a $20.00 ticket plus $2.60 HST is $22.60; with a $0.96 Stripe fee, it is refunded as $21.64. If only some tickets of an order are refunded, only their share of the fee is kept. Refunds go back to the card you paid with; banks usually take 5 to 10 business days to show them.

Service fees are not refunded. Some jams add a service fee to each paid ticket; it is shown with the ticket price before you pay. When a ticket is refunded, the service fee and the HST on it are kept. If TJC cancels the jam, the service fee is refunded too.

Where a cancellation window is shown on your ticket, you may cancel within that window for a refund (minus the Stripe fee). Outside that window, tickets are non-refundable except as described below.

If TJC cancels a paid jam, every ticket is refunded automatically, service fee included (minus the Stripe fee) and every ticket holder is emailed.

If TJC postpones or moves a paid jam (a new date, time or place), your booking carries over: we email you a new ticket, with new QR codes, for the new date, time and place. Your old ticket stops working. If you can’t make the new date, contact us.

These rules are for paid jams ($1 and up). Free jams have nothing to refund; if a free jam changes or is cancelled, we email everyone who has a ticket. TJC is not responsible for costs you incur in preparing to attend an event (travel, etc).

Capacity & limits

Events may have a maximum ticket quantity per person, set on a per-event basis, to keep access fair during high-demand releases. TJC may use a virtual queue for high-demand ticket drops; your place in the queue is not a guarantee of a ticket.

Photography & video

TJC events are regularly photographed and filmed for use on our website and social channels. By attending, you consent to being included in this coverage. If you’d prefer not to appear in published photos or video, let our team know on-site.

Conduct

TJC is built to be a welcoming, safe space for everyone, regardless of whether you know anyone in the room. Harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behaviour toward performers, staff, or other attendees will result in removal from the event without refund.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or attendance at future events means you accept the current version, posted here.
