So… what is TJC?
Toronto Jamming Culture is a community built around music, people and experiences. A jam is a chapter. TJC is the culture around it. You don’t need to know anyone to come, you don’t need an invite, and you definitely don’t need to already be “in the scene.” Show up, and you’re in it.
Karan, Aakash, Jaskaram, and Altaf loved music and used to jam together at a friend’s place, just for the joy of it. Somewhere along the way, they realized that if the four of them loved jamming this much, other people would too. So instead of keeping it to themselves, they decided to build a culture around it: open it up, give it a name, and give other music lovers the same space to jam, connect, and be heard.
That living-room jam session is how Toronto Jamming Culture was born.
Music. People. Community.
TJC gives unseen and unsigned artists across Canada a real stage. Bedroom musicians, students, newcomers to Canada, hobbyists and semi-pro artists don’t always have access to venues, audiences or a scene to plug into. We remove that barrier, one monthly jam at a time.
